Medical Surgical Health Center

The Medical Surgical Health Center (MSHC) provides comprehensive care to adults 18 years or older for primary care and specialty care services.

Specialty Services Offered

Orthopedic clinic patients are seen for follow up of simple fractures and joint injuries, as well as pre and post operatively, and for Subspecialty Surgical issues with the Hand, Spine, Knee, Shoulder, Hip, and Foot/Ankle.

General Surgery clinic patients are seen for follow up of surgical care, and patients are seen at two locations – Miami Valley Hospital – Ground Floor Apple Street Building, or Good Samaritan Hospital-First Floor Testing Center.

Adult Transitional Sickle Cell.  Provides a transition from a pediatric center to an adult center for ongoing comprehensive management of Sickle Cell Disease.

Infectious Deseases.  Provides management of complex infections including HIV and other communicable diseases.

Hematology/ Oncology.  FRHC provides comprehensive cancer care for all types of malignancies and comprehensive hematologic care for disorders of the blood and bone marrow.

Neurology.  Provides care and management of diseases of the brain and spinal cord.

Behavioral Health Services.


Financial Counselor can meet with patients to discuss available financial assistance programs.



If you will be more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, please call the center to verify that you can still be seen.

If you cannot keep your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance in order to open up that time for other patients.

Appointments for specialty services are by referral only.


Insurance and Sliding Fee Scale Information

*All co-pays or office visit fees are due at the time of serive.

*To qualify for sliding fee scale, you must be an uninsured Ohio resident with total household income not exceeding 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Proof of household income is required, such as income tax return, copies of your last pay stubs, W-2 or proof of government assistance. Program detail and an application can be obtained from the registration staff.

*Care is provided by physicians from Wright State Physicians Inc. as well as FRHC Certified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistant.  We mentor students from the Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine, as well as Nurse Practitioner Programs.
