Watercolor & pressed botanicals on paper (2021). "I was inspired by the beautiful fields next to my home filled with a "cover crop" - a crop specifically planted and raised to enrich and protect the soil of a field. This cover crop had sunflowers, flax, millet, and 8 other varieties of grains and vegetables. I pressed some of the flax and radish plants to accent the painted sunflowers of this piece."
