Art quilt. "As a child, I spent many days exploring the woods at my dad's farm in Eaton, Ohio. I could feel the woods with all my senses. I can remember one evening in a clearing, the moon began to light up the trees with an amber glow. This art quilt was created with multiple layers of sheet fabric, paint, batiks, commercial and hand-dyed fabric with embellishments.” Cathy Jeffers lives in Centerville, Ohio but grew up off Salem Ave. in Dayton. She attended Fairview High School where she credits learning about textiles at an early age but kept that knowledge under wraps until well into her 50s when she discovered her love for fiber arts once again.
