Encaustic (2019). "I am continually drawn to natural themes in my work - how we fit into nature, how we are a part of it, interact with it, change and manipulate it. In this painting, I strive to examine the threads that connect us to the natural world, defining our relationships with that world and with our own bodies. There are many things about our physical selves that we cannot control, yet we must navigate them and find our peace within those constraints."
